Clematis Garden: Prints

I was inspired to paint this piece on my way home from the big box store. I placed the clematis plants I purchased on the passenger side floorboard. As I was making my way home, I noticed the sunlight hitting the flowers and foliage creating the most beautiful highlights and shadows. Needless to say, I snapped some photos and brought the plants into my studio to use as reference instead of sticking the plants in the ground right away.
