The Stories You Can Tell: Prints

After a rain while camping near the town of Ione, WA I found this tree stump covered in moss and lichen. The colors of this tree stump stopped me in my tracks. I was leaving that day, so I snapped a few photos and knew I had to paint it later. My daughter said she could look at the painting for hours and come up with stories about the felled tree. My mom says I did the tree stump justice. The tree circumference indicated that this tree had lived a long time and I am sure it holds many stories. I hope this painting brings you hours of thought, memories and joy.
